I find a lot of people are quick to use the term 'friend' when they're just... people you know, barely acquaintances. Friendship goes much deeper to me. I know far too many people like the one you described. I don't consider them friends. Everyone has their own things going on, friends make time. Not sure I consider people like that ‘friends’.
